Good morning Kaylistas
I've been holding out on posting head-to-toe black outfits because if I had it my way, I'd be in it every single day. Blogging has definitely got me thinking about what I wear a little bit more. Don't get me wrong I'm still true to my style but we all have those moments where we tend to wear the same items repeatedly as if we never owned anything a year ago. That being said, after doing a bit of digging in my closet I came across these wide-leg, high-waisted pants and the rest is history.
If you're into black as much as I am you tend to find different ways to make it more interesting because lets face it, it's black. A good tip is to mix different textures together; leather and lace is a good place to start (just as I typed that out I wish I added a leather jacket to this look - how did I miss that? I seriously considered reshooting this look but if you're heading out at night it would be the perfect accessory to add a bit of edge). That's the great thing about black; you can really play around with it without looking like you're trying too hard.
Todays look is centred around these wide-leg pants (practically bellbottoms), I'm sure most of us have got a pair somewhere in our closets, the rest will just have to raid their moms closets to get in on the trend because they are back. I paired it with this skin-tight lace top to create contrast and since it was all black I added a red lip to make it 'pop'. I kept the hair sleek and the rest of my makeup minimal.
Hope you enjoy!
