FEELING BLUE

I feel like I've been seeing different hues of blue everywhere lately, it has definitely been a colour to watch for this season, right up there with white. So when I received this leather jacket as a gift for my birthday last week I thought it was the perfect time to get in on the trend. It's nothing like your typical baby blue; the colour is rich, saturated and unique. I absolutely love it! By now you've come to learn that I am obsessed with leather jackets, so much that I just MIGHT wear it in pink.

A classic white shirt is an essential! Every woman should have one or 10 for that matter just hanging in her closet waiting to create perfect outfits. Try not to tie your white shirt down to formal pants and pencil skirts only, get creative and rock them with shorts or a flared mini skirt, replace the blazer with a sporty jacket, its just that great. In the spirit of blue I selected this crisp white shirt with light blue pinstripes so fine they're practically invisible.

Navy blue shorts were the order of the day, navy is certainly my favourite shade of blue, perhaps because it resembles black and just seems effortless to wear. This white, navy and tan handbag is a must-have for summer, it screams nautical, so much that I feel like I should be sailing on a yacht in the Mediterranean ocean, wearing a dress with layers of chiffon blowing in the gentle ocean breeze (okay back to reality - I just spent an entire paragraph referencing a bag). By the time I got to the bag I was all 'blued' out so I opted for a touch of red with the shoes and of course my favourite red lipstick. To finish it off I threw on a chunky gold necklace and a baby blue background (details people) and called it a day.
