I'm not sure if you can tell but I'm purely in my fashion element when I'm in dark colours. Nothing makes me happier than a head-to-toe black look. I dabble in colour from time to time so that I don't look like I'm in uniform, but black has been, and always will be the colour I'm most comfortable in (even though it's technically not considered a colour).
Today's look is certainly different from anything I've done before but as mentioned in my previous post: fashion is supposed to be fun. The sports luxe trend has been doing its rounds in the fashion world but as you must have noticed by now, I'm not a sneakers and backpack kinda girl (never say never though). It's been more 'sports glam' for me; I see no reason why you can't make it look chic. That's the beauty about fashion, especially when it comes to trends, it's up for interpretation and the way you interpret it is how style is created. It's about adding your signature, being different but staying true to yourself.
When I saw this stretched t-shirt dress, I knew it would be an interesting look. I had no idea how I would style it for this shoot but I knew that I needed to make it work for me. I came across these giant hoop earrings and thought 'bingo' I found my perfect match. That's where the name 'From The Block' came in, I literally felt like a modern day 'Jenny From The Block' (remember those days). I'm definitely channeling my inner 'hood' here. I added a dark lip (which I've been obsessed with lately) to bring it home.
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
