I find cobalt blue to be one of the most difficult colours to wear and I'm not the only one. The other day I was chatting to a girlfriend of mine and she looked at a cobalt blue blazer that was hanging on my rail (soon to be blogged) and expressed that she never purchases anything in this colour because she finds it hard to wear. I thought about it for a second and realised that she's actually right, when putting together an outfit in cobalt blue, I always need something that's going to tie the look together and in this case it was this fabulous printed clutch which I'm obsessed with at the moment and of course this beautiful custom made jewellery set from 'Jeannie Jacobs'. I've been meaning to blog this jumpsuit for quite some time now, once I got the jewellery it just seemed perfect.
I love the concept of a tailored jumpsuit, it's like wearing a suit without all the fuss. It's comfortable yet sophisticated and is definitely a step up from your usual cocktail dress. Have you noticed that it has become increasingly popular for women to wear them on the red carpet too? From Julia Roberts at this years SAG awards, to Emma Stone at the Golden Globes. I hope you've caught the bug too because what started off as a trend has now become a staple in every woman's closet.
Okay so about this fabulous bag; last year I had the honour of attending Source Africa, which is Pan-Africa's largest and most important Textile, Apparel and Footwear Event which took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. While I was browsing around I came across a stall that sold these bags, they are locally produced (in the city of Cape Town) and are one of a kind. No fabric combination is identical which made it so hard to choose but every single one of them was absolutely amazing. They did not have a store at the time but they provided me with an email address (details below).
Thank you for reading, have a fabulous weekend!
