Spring is in the air and I feel like I haven't even started blogging my winter wardrobe yet, so if you see a fur coat or two in the next two weeks just know that I'm mourning freezing cold days. The weather in South Africa, especially Johannesburg, is absolutely beautiful but sometimes you long for a chilly day so that a fur coat or two can come into play. However, you know me - I'd probably rock one for the blog anyway (the things I put myself through). That's just the beauty of blogging; I get to be whoever I want to be and I have the confidence to be that person.
Two or three years ago I wouldn't have taken such a bold step. It seems quite vain, doesn't it? I mean, I shoot multiple photographs of myself each week and basically put myself on display for the world to see, practically welcoming judgment. Had I thought of it in that way before I started, I wouldn't be here right now. It's funny; I've never been the kind of girl who documented my every thought in a secret diary/journal that would destroy my life if anyone ever read it. Fashion is and has always been my only expression, which is why I resonate with blogging so well.
I've been obsessed with olive lately; I don't know what it is. Perhaps it's a matter of it being on trend at the moment but that's rarely a good enough reason for me to love anything. I'd never go full on military because that's just not me but a piece or two is enough to satisfy my appetite. This Ronald Sassoon playsuit gave me just that and with a touch of black and some lace detail at the back, I was sold! The perfect accessories to finish off this look was this beautiful scaly olive set from none other than Jeannie Jacobs.
Today's post is a little different; I've inserted a few quotes below that give my confidence a boost when I need it. I hope it does the same for you.
Have a fabulous weekend!
