In the spirit of 2016, I decided to add more variety to the blog. I spend a great deal of my time at the office (yes I'm a corporate girl). Perhaps you thought I had a glamorous fashion job where I get to wear tutu's and converse all day. Nope! I'm a nine-to-five girl FOR NOW and since this is the stage I'm at in my life right now, I might as well embrace it.

The key to wearing a bright colour to the office is to ensure that you pair it up with neutral colours. As you can see I opted for a mix of black and white to tone the look down. Colour blocking is not an appropriate look for working professionals depending on your industry, besides; it's so last season darling!
Pair bright colours with statement pieces. Think crisp white shirt or classic pencil skirt, you can never go wrong with these classic pieces. Better yet, add a pop of colour with brightly coloured shoes or subtle jewelry on those all black days. Another way to add colour in a more subtle way is by wearing a neck scarf. Think 1950's stewardess. With these simple tips, you will be the queen of colour and professionalism without breaking a sweat.
