THE BIG BALMAIN THEORY

I've been sitting on my Balmain items that I purchased at the H&M launch in Sandton City for quite some time now. As I mention in my previous post, the hype around the launch was huge and simply too much for me at the time. The thing about the fashion industry is that everyone strives to be at the forefront of owning or blogging the latest fashions. I observed this trend very closely on social media and the Balmain x H&M case study was the perfect example.

It's interesting to see if the people selected to be fashion pioneers are actually seen as fashion-forward people who have real influence or if they simply form part of the 'popular' group. You know what they say; it's not about WHAT you know but WHOM you know and the fashion industry is no exception.

I simply fell in love with these chandelier earrings with the matching ring and in case you're wondering, yes they're heavy. The fact that they are clip-on earrings makes them lighter in weight and the wear-and-tear on your earlobes is significantly reduced. I paired this look with the black Ronald Sassoon jumpsuit I wore to SA Fashion Week and my round sunglasses to give it an edge.

Hope you enjoy!
