It's been a busy few weeks, I went from SA Fashion Week right into the Balmain x H&M launch that took place in Sandton City last week. I was truly honoured to be invited to their VIP shopping evening; what made it even more special is the fact that this is the second H&M store to open in South Africa, the first being the flagship store at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town so I'm sure you could imagine my excitement.
Moments like these highlight what I've always been saying: the world is looking to Africa, the world is beginning to pay attention to Africa in a dynamic way. But what it also says to me is that we need to invest in our own talent, build our own brands and put our labels in the malls and high streets of the world.
Okay, back to fashion.
There are few things in this world that I love more than a good pair of pants (clothing wise of course) and these striped pants were no exception. So there I was, in Zara (as per usual) and these pants caught my attention. What's really great about them is that they're currently in store so if you love them as much as I do, you need to grab yourself a pair #justsaying.
The perfect pant deserves the perfect pair of sunglasses - look out for my next post to find out more about these. A simple crop top (yes I'm still wearing those) with a plunging neckline seemed fitting for this look and to finish it off I added a simple nude heel and a cream clutch with my version of a minimalistic makeup look.
Hope you enjoy!
