#WWW: THE UNCONVENTIONAL SUIT

First things first, "WWW" from this day forth means Work Wear Wednesday. You may have noticed that I introduced work wear as a new fashion feature to the blog. As many of you know, I myself am a corporate girl and I'm pretty sure that many of the women who read my blog are too. To answer your question: yes I actually go to work looking like this. This feature will reflect my true style for a day at the office. Hair, makeup, everything!

When it comes to corporate wear I'm a real girly girl; putting way too much time and effort in my appearance. Some days I'm feminine Kay with a calf length dress, other days I'm serious Kay with a power suit but one thing always remains the same: I dress for power. I certainly think power dressing is needed in the corporate industry, yes even in 2016. As progressive as we'd like to think we are, women are nowhere near where they should have been by now. Don't get me wrong, a lot has changed over the years yet we still get caught up in situations where we have to prove ourselves.

About this look...

What I love most about this look is that it would work both on men and women, I guess you could call it androgynous in a sense. For the past two years I've been all over anything oversized; dresses, coats, jeans and in this case blazers. It's the craziest obsession but I love it. I paired this oversized blazer with high-waisted flared pants to create a balance and a striped shirt. This is as far as I would go when it comes to print-on-print, it certainly isn't my forte. I finished the look off with tan and gold details just to break away from the navy overkill.

Hope you enjoy!
