As usual, life is busy, time is limited, so much to do but oh so little time; this seems to be my new normal but I'm not complaining. Amongst all the chaos, blogging seems to be the calm after the storm; if only I could dedicate more time to it. On a lighter note I attended the J.C. Le Roux New Beginnings event celebrating their Chrysalis Collection and I'm sharing all the details.
How do you translate all of the above into an unforgettable evening? Picture this: girls on forest-like swings swaying across the room resembling enchanted princesses, all white furniture under florescent lighting, chilled champagne, decadent desserts from baked cheesecake drizzled with a berry sauce to the most scrumptious macaroons (which I am now a huge fan of) not to mention the food; did someone say lamb curry with couscous? It was the perfect summer evening, I can't think of a better way to unwind after a long days work. What did it all feel like you ask? Like a new beginning.
I had one of two options: document the entire event for the blog and spend the bulk of my evening trying to capture the perfect moment (OCD behaviour) or to simply live in the moment and take it all in, my choice is clear. As I stood in the middle of the room taking it all in I realised something; I came out to celebrate the Chrysalis Collection but I ended up celebrating life and that's exactly what J.C. Le Roux is all about.
About this look
This look started out as the title suggests "just jeans and a tee" but before I knew it I was full-on glam. This has got to be one of my favourite looks, it's glamorous in its' simplicity and a sure way to take an outfit from day to night, simply by adding a pair of killer heels and the infamous biker jacket to add a bit of edge.
Hope you enjoy!
