The name of this post seemed fitting, I'm finally back on my feet and I couldn't be happier. It's been six weeks since I wore a pair of heels, SIX WEEKS. I may not be fully recovered yet but my fracture is healing and I got the go-head from my doctor to remove my moon boot (which will not be missed) after six dreadful weeks. I can finally go back to my normal routine now, with physiotherapy in-between of course but I'm out the boot, that's all that matters. Apart from being excited to blog again, I can finally drive again, I'm pretty sure I still remember how; it's like riding a bike right? (I hope). It's moments like these where you begin to appreciate the little things in life and my feet will forever be one of them.
I tried finding 'creative' ways to blog but it just wasn't the same and the struggle was certainly not worth it so I decided to wait. In the meanwhile I've been working on other things, continuing with the radio show, creating new designs for clients and I just got back from a trip to Cape Town. Speaking of which, I've decided to add a 'Travel' page to my blog since I'll be visiting some places over the next few months, I look forward to sharing it with you.
Okay so enough about all those shenanigans; let's get right into todays look. These tan shoes I got from Ronald Sassoon while I was in Cape Town inspired the look. They are the perfect shade of nude for my skin tone; I couldn't wait to share them. I kept the whole look in neutral tones, adding a pop of colour with the handbag. I've been gravitating more towards neutral tones lately, perhaps because of the colder weather even with the lips. Oh yes... the lips! I am officially obsessed with the colour "Taupe" by Mac Cosmetics; it has a matte finish and is the perfect colour for an everyday look (don't be surprised if you see it in 90% of my future posts). I added these Cartier sunglasses to add a bit of glam to the look. Simple, clean and oh so stylish.
While I have your attention, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your well wishes and continuing to visit the blog even though I've been out of action for a while. I was overwhelmed when I saw how many of you continued checking in daily despite the lack of new posts. I absolutely love what I do and knowing that you enjoy it makes it even more rewarding.
