“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” - Denis Waitley.

I consider failure to be part of success; you cannot separate the two - one cannot exist without the other. It's so easy to dwell on the past and get caught in a negative space but every second is a choice. We might not be able to change the outcome of certain events in our lives but we can have full control of our reaction.

Three weeks ago, my journey with the Fashion Lab team came to an abrupt end. I've been contemplating on whether I should share it with you or not but it only seemed fair since so many of you have showed me tremendous support throughout this journey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support. I will continue to make this a space where I share my success and I welcome failure for the mere fact that without it, I wouldn't have the strength I possess today; I've learnt to embrace it.

There's always light at the end of the tunnel. I may sound like a walking cliché for saying this but everything happens for a reason; never again will I doubt that. Less than 24 hours after the decision that I was no longer part of the Fashion Lab team, I received a call for a job opportunity. An opportunity that had been pending since April but I chose to pursue a different path at the time. Is there such a thing as a missed opportunity when something is meant for you? I'll never know cause by the grace of God I didn't miss mine. So here I am, kicking off my second week at my new job, learning the ropes of business while maintain a soon-to-be consistent blog.

I've always adapted to change quite well, I consider myself to be somewhat of a shapeshifter - in the sense that I'm able to adapt to new environments fairly easily. Perhaps shapeshifter is a little far fetched because it makes me sound like I've got no personality of my own whatsoever but you know what I mean. Funny enough I find that I have more time to blog now because every single minute of my time counts. I've been working on restructuring the content of the blog for quite some time now and it all seems to be falling into place quite swiftly. So expect the unexpected in the weeks to come. You can also expect some giveaways soon so keep an eye out.

It was of utmost importance for me to share this post with you in order for me to finally shut the door and move forward. This also seems like the perfect opportunity to encourage you to never give up. Every day is a new opportunity and every failure is one step closer to success. “We are all failures – at least the best of us are.”

“When you take risks you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important.” - Ellen DeGeneres
