Since I received some items from Nanawax a few months ago, I've been having a bit of a love affair with bold prints; so much so that I've added quite a few prints to my upcoming collection. The past few weeks have been extremely fast paced for me. The day I opened my eyes and realized that it was the first of July, I had a bit of a panic attack and exactly one month later I've made so much progress with the line. I'm still completely freaked out but it's certainly a lot less than before.

Creating a fashion line has been a dream of mine for the longest time. I graduated in 2014 and have been pursuing fashion ever since. I hit a few really rough patches along the way and learnt incredibly valuable lessons. The journey has not been easy and even though others were unable to see my vision, I still stuck it out. I believe that my long term focus and resilience is what got me through the tough times in life and I believe it will do the same for me in business.

I am so proud as a young black female living in a male dominated world to call myself a Creative Director and Founder of a company that is 100% founded and funded by me. This is a huge accomplishment for me; this moment right here makes all the blood, sweat and countless tears worth it. I hope you will love my collection as much as I do and I cannot wait for those of you who continue to support me to see it and potentially get your hands on it. In the spirit of Women's month, I think this blogpost sets the perfect tone for what's about to manifest.

All my love.
