Any Puerto Vallarta or expat Facebook group you’re already in. That’s where it does the most good, because those are people who might actually come to class. Check the group’s rules first, and don’t post anywhere you aren’t a member.

Everything on this page counts towards your first month, however it adds up. After that it’s posts and group shares, since the review and the follows are already done.

Paying in pesos gets you more. The dollar prices are a little higher because card payments come with processing fees, and those come out of what I actually receive. So paying in USD costs you a bit more, and that goes for the discount too. If you can pay in pesos, cash or a transfer, do.

The only fussy bit

What counts as a post

I’m not precious about this, but it does have to be real.

This works

  • You in class, or on the Zoom
  • Your workbook open, notes in the margin
  • Your homework, finished or a mess
  • A word you learned that you like
  • Something you finally said out loud in Spanish

This doesn’t

  • A reshare of one of my posts with nothing added
  • A photo with no tag, so I never see it
  • The same picture posted twice in a month
  • A story, unless you also send the screenshot. Stories vanish and I can’t go back and check

Two things that trip people up

  • A tag has to be a real tag. On Facebook, start typing KayLista Spanish Studio and pick the page when it comes up. It should turn blue, and if it isn’t blue it’s just words. On Instagram, tag @kaylistaspanish in the caption, not only in the photo sticker.
  • Send me a screenshot of every one. No screenshot, no credit. It’s the only way I can see that you did it, and I’d rather not go hunting.

Common questions about the discount

Before you start,
a few quick answers.

I already follow you. Do I still get it?

Yes. Send me a screenshot showing you’re following and it’s yours. You don’t have to unfollow and follow again, that would be silly.

Can I do it all in one go?

Please do. Send them all in one message and I’ll add it up.

When does it come off?

Your next month. If you’ve already paid for this one, it comes off the following one instead.

Can I go over $300 in a month?

You can post as much as you like and I’ll love you for it, but $300 is where the discount stops.

Can I save it up for a bigger discount later?

No, it’s a month to month thing. Whatever you earn comes off your next month and it doesn’t carry past that, so there’s no reason to hold your screenshots back. Send them as you go.

Can I use it together with another discount?

No, this one doesn’t combine with any other discount or credit. If that ever comes up for you, message me and we’ll sort it out.

Does a Google review have to be five stars?

No, write what’s true. An honest review is worth more to me than a polite one. And either way, if something isn’t working for you, please tell me. I would much rather know about it and fix it, and then earn those five stars.

What if I take a break from classes?

Then the credit goes with it. It only exists as money off a class you’re taking, so if you pause or stop it doesn’t sit there waiting for you. Worth using it while you’re here.
